What We Do

At Haul Good, we haul away your unwanted items — with a mission. Furniture, appliances, yard waste, or construction debris, our goal is to keep as much as possible out of the landfill. We prioritize rehoming, donating, recycling, and creative reuse — dumping is always a last resort.

We handle everything from homes to offices to job sites, doing all the sorting, lifting, and clean-up so you don’t have to. You get a cleared-out space, and your stuff gets a shot at a second life.

Step One
Book your pick-up online or give us a call at (510) 289-2989 for a free estimate. You can even text us pictures of your junk and we can provide an estimate right away over text.

Step Two
We come to you, do a walk-thru, and then get to work — loading and sorting your items for donation, reuse, recycling, or, if needed, disposal.

Step Three
We sweep up, haul everything away, and make sure your stuff goes to the best home possible — not just the dump.

I love these guys. I was totally worried about getting some hauling of junk done -- Peter and the guys of Haul Good were AWESOME. They handled my fourteen heavy boxes of books, seven massive garbage bags of clothes, bedclothes, shoes and etc., old crutches, old dowels, old crappy furniture, and a broken whaleboat oar efficiently and quickly -- and kindly. And cheaply! And in a timely fashion! Last minute, even. And as the other reviewer said (it's why I chose them) -- they take your stuff and donate it all, instead of hauling it to a dump. They were not at all hard on the eyes, either. Not that that is relevant, of course.

I would recommend them absolutely, and if I ever have such a mountain of stuff to discard again (god, I hope not), I will call Haul Good.

Haul Good was founded by Peter Lollo, a long-time local with over 20 years of experience in the waste reduction and reuse industry. After decades helping businesses and communities rethink what gets thrown away, Peter started Haul Good with a mission: to make it easier for people in Santa Cruz County to clear out their space without sending everything to the dump.

We know where your stuff can go — whether it’s donation, reuse, recycling, or responsible disposal. Our team takes the time to sort, salvage, and re-home whatever we can, so only what truly has to be trashed ends up in the landfill.
